Blue. The colour of clear skies & deep sea. A colour known for it's calm, soothing properties. A shade that's easy on the eye which brings you harmony.
From bright electric to deep navy, there's a shade out there for everyone. Here we feature our favourite looks in blue.
One blue skirt. 3 different looks.
I love a good midi skirt. When I picked up this Classic Neoprene Midi Skirt, I knew she was a keeper. Sitting comfortably at the waist with beautifully placed pleats & a modest midi length, she's a great staple piece for your wardrobe. Below I showcase 3 different looks I've done over the past month.
I've always been obsessed with off-shoulder pieces, when I stumbled upon Gabrielle I knew immediately that she'd look gorgeous with a midi skirt. Here I kept my neck area clean & simple, letting the off-shoulder frills do their work. Tucking the top into my midi skirt & finished the entire look off with ballet flats.
On my recent trip to London, I really wanted to do a Winter-Midi-Skirt look so I brought along the Classic Neoprene Midi Skirt with me. I knew it was going to be cold, so I also threw in a pair of thick cable knit leggings. For this look, I really wanted to capture the mood of London, with it's grey skies and cool blues. I kept the look interesting by throwing on a shimmery grey knit sweater, cable knit leggings & faux fur trim boots, letting the blue skirt be the focal point of this look.
Out on an errand run, I wanted to create a look with crop tops that would still be office appropriate. I love the cut & fit of Bridget, she moulds perfectly to your figure and is made out of thick comfortable cotton, giving you the freedom to wear her from day to night. While she features a cut out back, in the front she's all business, with a cardigan or blazer thrown on she's a great piece to take you from work to party. I'm perpetually in my flats so if your work doesn't allow flats, feel free to throw on your favourite pumps. An oversized bag for all your things are of course a must.
While we're on the topic of midi skirts...
Here's a look submitted by the lovely Esther. We love how she's wearing our Fences Sleeveless Top with our Christy Panel Midi Skirt and rocking the sheer mesh look. The vertical mesh panels on the top helps to elongate the upper body, while the horizontal panel on the skirt shows a hint of skin giving the illusion of longer stems, even with flats there's still length & height to her entire look.
I love the grecian style neckline of Carley, it shows off the collarbone perfectly and is a comfortable lightweight piece. Here I paired up the top with Ainsley, a monochrome abstract printed midi skirt with a little bit of poof & flair. Because I wanted to have a hint of red, I grabbed my lips printed clutch & finished it off with a pair of nude strappy heels.
Double it up! Our Aida strappy chiffon top, features double spaghetti straps & double layered of chiffon. The effect? A beautiful, breezy & lightweight top. Your companion for work or play. We love have Kar Yan kept her look simple by dressing it up with a white necklace, black skinny jeans & our Black Kitsch Clutch.
Whether you call this print tartan or plaid, there's something about it's geometric design & choice of colours that it looks good with almost anything. I wanted to create a very simple & relaxed look with the Truthfully Tartan Shirt, I paired her up with my favourite loose fit Boyfriend Jeans & threw on a long quartz necklace to add a little bling bling to the look.
A deep classic dark blue denim wash. When it comes to denim, we know that it's most popular shades are shades of blue. Whether you love a light wash or a dark one, our Denim or Nothing shorts features a highwaisted cut with a slight distressed finish. We love Kar Yan's look where she gave the otherwise grungy pair of shorts a feminine look by pairing it with a printed tube top. A pair of flats & you're favourite bag & you're right out the door!
Tell us, what's your shade of blue? :)
Till next time,
