Making the Boyfriend Jeans Work!

I recently scored myself a pair of affordable Boyfriend Jeans and my sisters hate it! :(

In an attempt to prove how awesome these boyfriend jeans are I created this post to showcase a few fabulous looks you can rock with a pair of BF jeans. Because you know, sometimes it's just wayyyyyy more comfortable to be in BF jeans than skin-tight-i-still-love'em skinny jeans!

Boyfriend jeans are probably the most relaxed & casual of jeans, dressing them up for work can be a little tricky, but if your industry allows here are a few simple ways you can dress it up for work. :)

Pastels & Peplums.

I find that with peplum tops, they can do wonders to instantly make you look polished & ready for work! As a BF jeans has a comfy loose fit, I opted to cinch in the waist of the peplum top more by throwing on a belt & pairing the entire look up with an understated pair of oxford flats.

Primed in Primary Colours.

If your top looks a tad too casual for Casual Friday, throwing a cardi/blazer over it will instantly transform your look! It'll totally help with the icy cold air-conditioning of most offices as well!

Bedroom to Boardroom.

A satin top can look a little bedroom, to take it from bedroom to boardroom, be sure to throw on a fitted blazer and pointy toe pumps for an added don't-mess-with-me vibe.

Feeling monochromatic. An oversized button down when paired alone with BF jeans can seem a little too bulky, I threw on a fitted sweater to keep cozy as well as to streamline the look a little more, dressed it down with a pair of flesh tone flats. Alternatively, feel free to swap the flats for your favourite coloured pumps to add a pop of colour. :)

A Play with Textures & Prints.

Decided to be a little more experimental with this look by layering textures & prints together. Threw on my sister's lace blazer over a fitted toga top in a warm toned maroon, and added some textures & prints with a white printed pleather clutch & strappy leopard heels.

K.I.S.S. Keep it simple silly.

I kept this look very simple with a black & white button down blouse, jazzed it up with a white statement necklaces and paired it with nude/beige pumps. If your office is too cold for your liking, feel free to throw on a blazer or cardi to keep your shoulders warm.
