Referee who made an incorrect call on the KB Sonbo-OK Financial Exhibition overnet – Disciplinary action against expert committee members

Three referees and an expert committee member have been disciplined for making incorrect calls in the KB Insurance-OK Financial Group men’s professional volleyball match on March 24.

According to the Korea Volleyball Organization (KOVO) today (May 25), match commissioner Seo Nam-won and referee Lee Kwang-hoon were each suspended for two matches, while assistant referee Song In-seok was suspended for one match. 짱구카지노 주소

The incident in question occurred in the fifth set, which was tightly contested with a set score of 2-2.

At 12-9, OK Financial Group requested a video review of an overnet call against setter Kwak Myung-woo, claiming it was unacceptable.

After two and a half minutes of review, the experts and the assistant referee overturned the call as not an overnet.

KB Insurance head coach Hoo In-jung and setter Hwang Seung-bin protested vigorously, but there was no replay.

KB Insurance lost a valuable point in the fifth set, a 15-point battle, and eventually lost the match 11-15.

KOVO’s penalty rules stipulate that referees and experts who make a misreading in a video review during a match can be suspended for up to three games and fined up to 200,000 won.

A KOVO official explained, “We decided (the level of discipline) based on the severity.”
