T1 different after ‘Faker’ return, acting coach Im “aiming to win”
Acting head coach Lim “Faker” Jae-hyun revealed that T1 has changed since the return of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk to the point where they are looking to win a championship.
T1 won the first round of the 2023 LOL Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Season Playoffs 3-1 against DePlus Gia at the LCK Arena at Roll Park in Jongno, Seoul on the afternoon of April 9. With this win, T1 is headed to the second round of the playoffs.
Speaking to the press room after the game, acting head coach Lim Jae-hyun said, “The game was not very clean,” and expressed his determination to improve his performance until the next game.
T1’s strategy against DePlus Kia is to keep Kim “Canyon” Gun-boo in check. Kim “Canyon” Gun-boo was the centerpiece of DePlus Kia’s success in the Summer Regular Season, topping the POG. “We sniped the mid lane with the red faction fixed band, and then tried to control Kim ‘Canyon’ Gun-boo,” said acting head coach Lim Jae-hyun.
The return of Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyuk has definitely given T1 a boost. “Before he came back, we thought we could only advance to the Rold Cup, but now we’re looking to win the Summer Season,” said acting head coach Lim Jae-hyun.
“We realized that the rest of the players were lacking in the absence of Lee Sang-hyuk. We’re compensating for that, and we’re playing better now.” 메이저놀이터
